It’s winter time here cold and blustery and so of course the central heat stopped working on Christmas Day. It could have been worse, usually at this time of year we have a house full of our children and their children. Our married children rotate holidays with their in laws and us. This was our year to have them at Thanksgiving, so Christmas Day was quiet. Thank heavens we have a wood burning stove in the living room that can keep the house comfortable, but I never would have made it as a pioneer woman. Keeping that stove going all day for 4 days was a lot of work.
Christmas felt a little strange this year, not sure why, was it because I was able to do more baking and more hands on gift making? Or was it just the children weren’t around and it was just JB and I and we were very relaxed?
